Stay Home, Stay Comfy and You Can Still Help

We brought back a limited run of our super soft modal tees because that's all we are wearing at home these days. And we've heard that you are too. Given the current global pandemic, we felt strongly that we wanted to do our part and give you guys an opportunity to do your part too. Here's our thought process.

We know that, if you're at home, you are probably feeling stuck and, let's be honest, a bit useless. You know the best thing you can do is to stay home but that doesn't give you the same sense of purpose and meaning as say, volunteering at a food shelter or giving a friend in need a really good hug.

So, here's our imperfect solution for you. Buy what you need right now and give back what you can. We want to make it easy for you so, for every tee you purchase from our basics collection, we will donate five surgical masks to healthcare workers in need, in partnership with the Seattle Mask Brigade.

FAQ

Why do you have surgical masks?
One of our greatest strengths as a company is our global supply network. We have several partners in China who were able to help us import a limited supply of surgical masks. We aren't in the business of making these masks ourselves (or trying to sell them) but we knew that we would happily buy a limited quantity to donate to front-line medical workers who are still desperately in need.

What is Seattle Mask Brigade and why not donate to New York or New Orleans where the need is greater?
We are a Seattle-based company and know that our community needs help. We are more capable of helping out Seattle more quickly than other cities. Seattle Mask Brigade is a volunteer-based organization that pick up, sort, and deliver masks to medical providers, usually within 24 hours of donation. They've already donated 12,000 masks in the Seattle area.

Will you make your own (non-surgical) masks?
Never say never. But it's not in our current wheelhouse. To do it effectively, we'd want to make them domestically in the US and our supply chain does not currently allow for that.

Will you always be donating masks for every tee purchased?
We only have  a limited batch of t-shirts produced, in line with our core ethos for Public Habit. Once we've sold out of tees or have donated all of our masks, we will let you know.
